development challenges, including resource development and other nonprofit
leadership issues. Attendees will hear nationally prominent individuals
and officials speaking on a variety of facilitated panels. These interactive
sessions will also create meaningful dialogue among state CIS directors,
board members, as well as executive directors and sector organization
leaders.
Built upon findings of recent ground breaking research conducted by
the National Dropout Prevention Center and Communities In Schools,
workshops in this track will be applicable for researchers and policy
makers, as well as youth development practitioners and CIS network
affiliates. Participants will learn about significant dropout risk
factors and evidence-based dropout prevention programs, and have opportunities

strengthening.
Designed primarily for local CIS affiliate members, board members
